privatelistings.lu is a private real estate listing aggregation service operated by an individual in Luxembourg. This policy explains how we handle personal data in connection with our service.

2. What data we collect

Listing data (publicly available): We display real estate listings that are already publicly accessible on third-party platforms (athome.lu, bazar.lu, selfhome.lu). This may include:

• Property addresses and descriptions
• Prices and property characteristics
• Contact names and phone numbers (as published by the seller)
• Photos (referenced via links to the original sources)

User accounts: When you log in, we store your username and session information locally.

Personal notes: If you use the notes feature on the dashboard, the text you enter is stored locally on our server and associated with your account. These notes are private to you and are never shared with third parties.

3. Lawful basis for processing

We process listing data under Article 6(1)(f) — Legitimate Interest: providing a free aggregation service that makes publicly available private seller listings easier to discover. We balance this interest against sellers' privacy rights by:

• Linking to original listings rather than duplicating full content
• Providing a simple opt-out mechanism for any seller who wishes their listing removed
• Masking phone numbers where possible
• Not storing or republishing full-resolution photos

4. Data retention

We retain data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy:

• Listing data: Updated with each new scrape (twice daily). Outdated listings are removed automatically on the next cycle. No historical archive of removed listings is kept.
• User accounts (active): Retained for the duration of your subscription. Account data includes your email, username, tier, and subscription history for billing purposes.
• User accounts (cancelled/expired): Retained for 90 days after cancellation or expiry, then permanently deleted. You can request earlier deletion at any time via the opt-out form.
• Trial accounts: Automatically deleted 90 days after trial expiry if no conversion occurred.
• Personal notes: Retained until you delete them or your account is removed.
• Session data: Expires automatically after 30 minutes of inactivity.
• Opt-out records: Retained indefinitely (listing ID + timestamp) to prevent re-indexing.

If you request opt-out, your listing data is removed within 48 hours.

5. Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access — know what data we hold about you
• Rectification — correct inaccurate data
• Erasure — have your data deleted (use the opt-out page)
• Object — object to processing based on legitimate interest

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics services, or advertising networks.
